Susan Marilyn Block, Ph.D., often referred to as “Dr. Suzy,” is a Yale-educated sexologist, therapist, author, and cultural commentator whose professional work spans more than 45 years. Through The Dr. Susan Block Show and a series of HBO specials, she has become known internationally for discussing topics related to sex, love, pleasure, relationships, awareness, and human connection.

Founded by Dr. Suzy in 1991, the Susan Block Institute provides counseling services and educational outreach focused on relationships, communication, sexuality, peacemaking, and personal freedom.

The Institute’s counseling practice serves individuals and couples seeking guidance on intimacy, relationships, pleasure, and personal development.

The organization has also produced a variety of educational and entertainment programming for radio, television, and online audiences. Its projects include The Dr. Susan Block Show, Radio Sex TV with Dr. Susan Block on HBO, FDR Radio, Bedside Chats, Sex Calls, Real Calls, Travels with Max, and Dr. Suzy’s Speakeasy. These productions were co-produced with Dr. Block’s late husband, Maximillian Lobkowicz.
